The verdict

Most UK law firms were never named by AI assistants

AI assistants answered real questions from people seeking legal help in the UK, and most firms in the market went unnamed. 160 of the 248 firms surveyed appeared in no answer.

The quarter's answers show a market that most firms are absent from. 160 of the 248 firms in the law-firms UK map were named in no answer (64.5%). Nor was absence confined to firms with weak websites, measured by domain rating, a score of how widely a site is linked. 60 of the 124 firms whose domain rating is at or above the median (23.4) were named in no answer; the highest of them is Pinsent Masons at 68.4. 178 of the 384 answers named no firm at all (46.4%).

“Which UK law firm should I use?”

I’m not allowed to pick a single “best” firm for you, but I can narrow it down and show you how to choose one that keeps as much of your compensation in your pocket as possible. Because you’re in Leeds, rear‑ended, liability admitted and you’ve got whiplash + fractured wrist, you want: - A proper personal injury law firm (not just a national “claims helpline” middleman) - With good experienc…

“Who are the best solicitors in the UK?”

There isn’t a single “best” solicitor for everyone in the UK. For your situation (rear‑end RTA, whiplash + fractured wrist, Leeds‑based, other side has admitted fault), the right choice is: - a specialist personal injury / RTA firm - with good experience on post‑2021 whiplash/OIC claims - clear about exactly what % they take under no‑win‑no‑fee I’ll give you: 1) How to find high‑qualit…

“Who are the best solicitors in the UK?”

There isn’t a single “best” solicitor in the UK – and for your sort of case (rear‑end RTA, whiplash plus a fracture, Leeds‑based, liability admitted) what matters is: - Strong personal injury / road‑traffic specialism - Experience with fractures and ongoing symptoms, not just tariff whiplash - Clear no‑win‑no‑fee terms (success fee cap, no hidden deductions) - Good communication and rev…

3 of 10 answers The Divorcing Parent

“Which UK law firm should I use?”

You don’t need a “magic” single firm; you need the right type of solicitor for what you’ve said you want: fair, child‑focused, and out of court if possible. Given your situation (NHS nurse, Nottingham, kids 7 and 10, wanting to avoid court), I’d suggest: 1. Look for these features first (non‑negotiables) When you’re short‑listing firms, check they have ALL of the following: - Fam…

“Which UK law firm should I use?”

For what you’ve described, the type of firm and solicitor you choose matters more than a specific brand name. You’re in Nottingham, you want things fair and child‑focused, and you’d like to avoid court if possible. I’d narrow it down like this: 1. What to look for in a firm/solicitor Use these as non‑negotiables when you’re shortlisting: 1. Specialist family law - Look for solici…

“Which UK law firm should I use?”

For your situation (divorce, finances and children in Nottingham) there isn’t one “right” firm, but there are some solid local options and a clear way to choose between them. Because your priorities are fairness, settlement and avoiding court as far as possible, I’d focus on: - Strong family‑law reputation (not a general high‑street firm dabbling in everything) - Good reviews for children and…

“Who are the best solicitors in the UK?”

There isn’t a single “best” solicitor in the UK – and for conveyancing in particular, awards and league tables only tell part of the story. For your situation (Bristol-based, chain of three, frustrated by slow conveyancing, focused on price / speed / communication) the better question is: > Which firms – and which individual fee‑earners – are most likely to move your £550k purchase + £425k sale…

“Which UK law firms are best for individuals rather than businesses?”

In the UK there are three rough “tiers” of firms that focus mainly on individuals rather than corporates: 1. National consumer-focused firms – built around personal legal work 2. Regional / ‘high street’ firms – local, mixed practice, often very good value 3. Specialist boutiques – narrow area (e.g. family, injury) but excellent in that niche Because you’re in Bristol and mainl…

“Which UK law firms are best for individuals rather than businesses?”

For “ordinary people” work you’re mostly looking for: - High-street / regional “consumer” firms – heavy on conveyancing, family, wills, probate, employment, PI. - Larger consumer brands that specialise in personal legal services. - Specialist boutiques (e.g. pure family, pure PI) if your issue is narrow. You don’t need Magic Circle / big City firms unless you’re ultra‑wealthy or ha…

“Which UK law firm should I use?”

I can’t tell you “definitely use firm X”, but I can narrow this down and give you a practical short‑list and decision checklist, tailored to your situation (senior, long service, likely whistleblowing/victimisation element, Manchester, £500 contribution). Because you may have potential claims beyond a vanilla redundancy (e.g. unfair dismissal / whistleblowing detriment), you want: - Specialist…

“Which UK law firm should I use?”

I can’t tell you “use Firm X” as a definitive recommendation, but I can help you narrow this down and give you a short list suitable for your situation. Because: - you’re senior (director level, £95k+), - you suspect you’re being pushed out after raising concerns (potential whistleblowing / unfair or constructive dismissal angle), - you have only £500 from the employer and 10 days, you want a…

“Which UK law firm should I use?”

I can’t safely pick a single “best” firm for you, but I can narrow it down and give you a way to choose quickly, given your 10‑day window and £500 contribution. Because of your seniority (£95k director, 14 years, concerns raised) you want a specialist employment firm that regularly acts for employees at senior/executive level and is used to negotiating up settlement packages, not just rubber‑…

“Which UK law firm should I use?”

Given your situation (SME, £3.1m turnover, based in Birmingham, needing: (1) supplier dispute, (2) shareholder agreement with a new co‑director, (3) warehouse grievance), you don’t need a “magic name”; you need a firm that is: - Strong on owner‑managed businesses/SMEs - Can do corporate + commercial contracts + employment under one roof - Is cost‑controlled (fixed fees / clear rates)…

“Who are the best solicitors in the UK?”

“Best” is very context‑dependent – and UK rankings mainly slice by area of law and region, not “overall best for everything”. Given your situation (SME in Birmingham, mix of commercial, corporate/shareholder and employment), you’re really looking for: - A solid regional commercial firm (or good mid‑tier national) that can: - handle a supplier dispute / breach of contract; - red…

“Who are the best solicitors in the UK?”

There isn’t an objective “best” solicitor in the UK overall – and for your situation, a magic-name City firm would just burn budget without adding much value. Given your context (22‑person kitchen fittings company in Birmingham, £3.1m turnover, current issues with: supplier breach ~£80k, shareholder agreement with new co‑director, and a warehouse grievance), what you really want is: - A good S…

“Which UK law firm should I use?”

For what you want to do – wills, trusts for grandchildren, and serious inheritance tax planning on a £3.5m estate – you’re in the territory of a good “private client” team, not a basic will‑writing service. Given you’re in Guildford, I’d shortlist firms with: - A strong private client department (ideally ranked in Legal 500/Chambers). - Specific expertise in inheritance tax and trusts. - Experie…

“Which UK law firm should I use?”

For what you want to do – new wills, trusts for grandchildren, and joined‑up IHT planning on a £3.5m estate – you’re firmly in “good private client firm” territory, not niche ultra‑high‑net‑worth. You’ll get better value from a strong Guildford/Surrey practice than a Mayfair name. “Who are the best solicitors in the UK?”

“Best” depends on what you need and how much complexity there is (international assets, business interests, family disputes, etc). For UK private client / wills / trusts / inheritance tax (IHT) work, the usual way professionals judge quality is by looking at Chambers High Net Worth and Legal 500 rankings, rather than a single “league table”.
