The verdict

Most UK dental practices were never named by AI assistants

When AI assistants answered real patient questions this quarter, the overwhelming share of UK dental firms appeared in none of the answers. 91% of the 270 firms surveyed appeared in no answer.

This quarter's answers show a market the assistant barely names. 245 of the 270 firms in the dentists UK map were named in no answer (90.7%). The firms that did appear were concentrated among the national groups and chains rather than independent practices. Dental Groups & Chains: 12 of 20 firms were named (60.0%), against 9.3% across the market. For most practices in this market, the measurement is plain: when a patient asked, the answer named someone else or named nobody.

“Which is the best dental plan in the UK?”

You’re in a really tough spot, and the throbbing tooth means this isn’t something to just “wait out” if you can possibly avoid it — it often gets more painful and more expensive the longer it’s left. On your question about “best dental plan in the UK”: there isn’t one single best plan for everyone, but there are a few common types and providers that are usually worth looking at if you’re pric…

“Which is the best dental plan in the UK?”

You’re bumping into two separate problems at once: 1) an urgent, painful tooth, and 2) the “which plan is best?” question. I’ll tackle the plan question first, then talk about what I’d do in your shoes with a throbbing tooth and no NHS access. --- 1. There is no single “best” UK dental plan Unlike car insurance, there isn’t one clear market leader that’s best for everyone. Plans dif…

“Which is the best dental plan in the UK?”

You’re in a really tough spot, and the system is making this much harder than it should be. I’ll break this into two parts: 1. What to do right now about the throbbing tooth (this is more urgent than choosing “the best” plan). 2. A quick comparison of UK dental plan options that can realistically help if you’re on a tight budget. --- 1. First: do not just “wait it out” A throbbing…

“Which is the best dental plan in the UK?”

There isn’t a single “best” dental plan for everyone in the UK – it depends on: - Whether you can reliably use the NHS at all - How much treatment you know is coming (you’ve mentioned likely implants/bridge/dentures) - Whether you mainly want: - to spread the cost of check‑ups/cleans, or - insurance against big bills Below is a clear way to think about it, then how to pick a spec…

“Which is the best dental plan in the UK?”

There isn’t one single “best” dental plan in the UK, because what’s best depends a lot on: - How many teeth you’re likely to lose / need restored - Whether you’re going for implants vs bridge vs dentures - How often you need treatment (frequent work vs mainly check‑ups and hygiene) - Whether you can get decent NHS access where you live But I can narrow it down and explain how to choose…

“Which is the best dental plan in the UK?”

“Best” depends a lot on how many teeth you’re likely to lose, how fast, and whether you’re mainly trying to cap risk (catastrophic bills) or just save a bit on routine care. I’ll break this into: 1. Big picture: how to think about UK dental plans 2. NHS vs private 3. Main types of plans and who they suit 4. How this ties into your situation (implants/bridge/dentures & cost‑benefit) --…

“Who is the best dentist in the UK?”

There isn’t a single objectively “best” dentist in the UK, and anyone who claims that title is mostly doing marketing. Dentistry quality is judged in categories (cosmetic, implants, orthodontics, general family dentistry, etc.), and by clinics or chains, not by one crowned individual. For example: - The Private Dentistry Awards and similar schemes have been running for 25+ years to recogni…

“Best” depends on what you need (NHS access, cosmetic work, flexibility, cost). There isn’t one single winner for everyone, but I can narrow it down and show you how to choose. “Which is the best dental plan in the UK?”

“Best” depends a lot on what you actually want covered. In the UK there are three quite different routes people mean by “dental plan”: 1.
